Great news gang: Kaki King is wrapping up her fourth album, which is due out early next year. What can we expect from the follow-up to 2006’s Until We Felt Red? Well, As King told Billboard, “Some of the songs became ’70s groovy sex music somehow.” Hot!
If you can’t wait a few months, you can just pick up the new Foo Fighters album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, which comes out Sept. 25, as the guitar virtuoso shreds it up on their track “The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners.”
Even Dave Grohl knows that the only reason to buy the album is Kaki’s contribution. “This song is almost banjo-picking style with hammer-ons and pull-offs,” Grohl told Billboard. “I showed it to her once and she shredded it 10 times better than I’ve ever played it.”
