Do you ever find yourself thinking, “if only there were more lesbian cab drivers?” It’s a common concern. Luckily, Melissa Plaut is one, and she details her life driving a yellow cab in New York on her blog, New York Hack. And today, her book comes out on Villard, titled Hack: How I Stopped Worrying About What to Do with My Life and Started Driving a Yellow Cab. (No subtitle “And how I subsequently knew I’d get a book deal along the way”?)
Some reviews so far have called Hack a memoir, so there’s probably a lot of taxicab confessions from the driver’s point of view this time around. If nothing else, there will be some interesting annecdotes on her backseat that might make you more wary of your next cabbie’s true intent–they’re not just there to cart you around.
