San Francisco’s City College is putting a new spin on your typical Gay & Lesbian 101. The newest class to be offered this semester is Queer Creative Process. Taught by Maureen Brownsey, the course will tackle all mediums of art and discuss how or if discrimination and censorship has affected glbt artists.
If you’re in the Bay Area, it’s only $20 per unit for the class. That’s a steal to learn more about queer art or to meet cute ladies that want to talk about it. And by art, this includes “fiction/non-fiction writing, writing for performance, film/video, stand-up comedy, and comic genres.” If you’re not into this kind of stuff, we want to see your Q card.
