London becoming anti-lesbian?

February 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Some suprising news  has come out of the always-more-provocative UK: Diva magazine’s April sex issue has been censored. The cover (paying homage to the famous lesbian photographer Annie Leibovitz’s John Lennon/Yoko Ono shot) was deemed “too risque.” One of the mag’s retailers disapproved, giving no good reason, because the side of a woman’s breast was shown.

We wonder if this retailer sells NME, as no one seemed to put up a fuss about Beth Ditto’s nude cover last year–not to mention any other straight magazines that have naked women parts on a monthly basis.

To make their retailer happy, DIVA moved around text over the tit. You can buy the revised mag on March 6.
