Tomorrow is National Coming Out Day. What does this mean? Well, if you’re a homo and no one knows, tell everyone. It’s your duty. But the tongue-in-cheek pop-culture rag Radar magazine includes coming out in its list of 100 most overrated things in the October issue:
43. Coming Out. Honestly, would you rather a) lie to friends and family about your self, or b) come out of the closet and proudly take your place alongside the likes of Carson Kresseley, Steven Cojocaru, Perez Hilton, Alan Cumming, Lance Bass and Rosie O’Donnell?
Sure, when you put it that way it might not seem so hip…but do these names ring a bell? Beth Ditto, JD Samson, Mirah, Kim Stolz, Jamie Babbit, Clea DuVall, Tegan and Sara Quin, Michelle Tea, Jenny Shimizu, 80 percent of Portland, Kaki King, Jenny Hoyston, Leisha Hailey, Carrie Brownstein, and other hot gays we feature on GIAH. We’re out and proud.

I didn’t know Kaki was a gay. Hmm, then maybe when I asked her to marry me on her website forum(years ago), she seriously considered, HA!
